Clean the surfaces of conductors with a card cloth brush. And per- heating with butane torch to en- suere the conductors is totally dry conductors.

Place retaining disc and make sure the disc sits well at the base of the weld metal cavity.

Pre-heating with a butane to- rch to ensures the mould is totally dry before every first joint regardless new or used mould.

Conductors fits snugly in to the mould the mould allow a space of about 2-3 mm. Between the ends of the conductors to allow a better flow of the weld metal then lock the handle clamp allways make sure the mould alevel position.

Pour a factory’s reccommended size of weldmetal into the mould cruible........... Check for leaks, make sure the weld- metal do not enter in to the weld cavity. If it does leak, repeat the whole of step 4. At the inner bottom of the tube
