Kumwell and Indonesias BSN Sign MoU to Elevate Electrical Safety Standards Across ASEAN
Jakarta, August 4, 2025 Kumwell Corporation Public Company Limited and the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (Badan Standardisasi Nasional: BSN) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on improving electrical system safety practices in Indonesia and beyond.
The agreement, signed at BSNs headquarters in Jakarta, marks a significant milestone in ASEAN regional cooperation. Under this MoU, both organizations will focus on enhancing safety standards related to grounding system, lightning protection system, surge protection system, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Through knowledge sharing, technical training, and expert exchange programs, the initiative aims to strengthen industry capabilities and promote the use of IEC-compliant solutions across both the public and private sectors.

Training programs under the Kumwell Academy will be developed in collaboration with BSN, targeting engineers and professionals in key sectors such as the energy sector, oil and gas, construction, and industrial operations. The partnership also includes the exchange of experts to co-develop conformity assessment schemes.
With Kumwells role as a regional leader in lightning protection and BSNs regulatory leadership, this MoU paves the way for future ASEAN-wide standard harmonization.
