An AI-powered Disaster Prevention System to Elevate Safety in a World-Class Tourist City

Dr. Wannapha Peeratham, Executive Director of Kumwell Corporation Public Company Limited, presented the innovative Pattaya Smart Environment Management System to Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, who chaired the meeting along with relevant government agencies. The presentation and discussion were held in Meeting Room 132 at Pattaya City Hall to explore the integration of AI and automated technologies to enhance urban safety.

This innovation was developed based on lessons from past flooding in Songkhla Province, with a goal to manage environmental risks in tourism-centric cities. The system applies AI for real-time analysis and forecasting, covering:
PM 2.5 Dust Monitoring
UV Radiation Detection
Wind Speed Measurement
Lightning Detection System
Intelligent Smart Pump System

These features are designed to proactively manage flood risks and natural disasters.

The Pattaya City Mayor revealed that the 2026 city budget has already allocated funding for flood warning systems, CCTV installation, water-level sensors in drainage pipes, and a 24-hour monitoring control room. Additionally, the city is planning close collaboration with Kumwell to ensure the integration of these systems aligns with Pattayas urban management framework.
