EMC Excellent Center

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is the ability of equipment or a system

to function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without introducing

intolerable electromagnetic disturbances to anything in that environment.

Electromagnetic Compatibility, Definition: IEC 50(161)

EMC FIRST

This refers to the critical importance of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), which must be prioritized as a primary consideration before planning and implementing any system design at all levels.

For example, this applies at the macro level to smart city development, the military and defense sectors, hospitals, petrochemical industries, gas separation plants, gas pipelines, manufacturing plants, electric train stations, communication base stations, data centers, railway systems, and shopping centers. It also extends to the subsystem level and even down to individual product levels.

The Importance of EMC Across Various Sectors

Military and Defense Sector

EMC helps prevent electromagnetic interference that could potentially trigger the explosion of ammunition depots, reduces risks from electromagnetic waves, and enhances protection against threats from electronic warfare.

Petrochemical Industry

EMC ensures the stable operation of sensors and control systems, reducing the risk of accidents and explosions that could endanger the plant and the environment.

Medical Sector

EMC enables medical devices to operate with precision, extends the lifespan of medical equipment, and minimizes the risk of interference that could affect patient care, diagnosis, and treatment.

Telecommunications Sector

EMC ensures the stability of telecommunications networks by preventing signal interference, maintaining signal quality, and reducing communication disruptions that could impact safety and the economy.

Transportation and Railway Systems Sector

EMC enables train control and signaling systems to operate accurately, reduces the likelihood of errors, enhances transportation safety, and ensures smooth and efficient operations.

Manufacturing Industry

EMC ensures the stable operation of machinery, robots, and IoT systems in factories, minimizing electronic signal interference and enabling efficient and continuous manufacturing processes.

KUMWELL has over 26 years of expertise in EMC.

Committed to raising standards, ensuring safety and trust for all sectors of the nation continuously.

Kumwell Co., Ltd. has been appointed by the Engineering Institute of Thailand under H.M. the King's Patronage (EIT) as a member of the committee responsible for developing the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standard for the year 2024, under the Electrical Engineering Committee for the term 20232025.

Mr. Boonsak Kiatjaroonlert, Chief Executive Officer of Kumwell Corporation Public Company Limited, serves as the inaugural President of the ASEAN Federation of Electromagnetic Compatibility (AFEMC).

Kumwell Co., Ltd. and the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkuts Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 20, 2019, at the Faculty of Engineering, KMITL. The collaboration focuses on research and development in science and technology, with the aim of advancing knowledge in EMC, EMI, EMF & Safety and extending the benefits to society.

Kumwell Corporation Public Company Limited

The organization is staffed with experts who possess proven knowledge, skills, experience, and nationally recognized achievements in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).

An Electromagnetic Compatibility Excellent Center (EMC Excellent Center, EMCEC) has been established to drive Kumwells mission in research and innovation towards commercialization. It also serves as a testing and research hub in collaboration with both domestic and international networks, addressing EMC challenges across all sectors.
