LED lighting systems play a vital role in modern society by enhancing visibility, improving safety, and increasing operational efficiency across various environments. In some areas, LED lighting directly affects the well-being and quality of life of the people it serves.
However, due to the increasing deployment of LED systems with a large number of fixtures in each setup, monitoring and maintaining system performance can be challenging. To address this, Kumwell has developed specialized Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) and comprehensive services tailored for LED lighting systems. These solutions ensure that LED lights remain operational, safe, and efficient at all times.
Below are the SPD products specifically designed for LED lighting systems:
KLSC-01 is a digital lightning event counter and recorder designed to capture and display the number of lightning strikes, along with the date and time of each detected event. It is installed directly on the down conductor and features a 3-digit numeric display for easy monitoring. The device activates when a lightning current of 1 kA (8/20µs) or higher flows through the system and is capable of detecting and withstanding lightning currents of up to 100 kA (10/350µs). It is designed and tested according to IEC/EN 62561-6 standards. The KLSC-01 operates using a built-in battery with an average lifespan of 2 to 4 years and is easily replaceable. The unit is easy to install and ideal for applications in commercial buildings, power plants, and industrial facilities.
KLSC-100KA is an analog lightning event counter equipped with a 4-digit mechanical display. It activates when a lightning current of 350 A or more is detected and is capable of handling surges up to 100 kA (8/20 μs). The device is designed and tested in accordance with IEC/EN 62561-6 standards. With a battery-free design, the KLSC-100KA offers long-lasting durability and low maintenance requirements. It is ideal for monitoring lightning events in buildings, industrial plants, power stations, fuel refineries, and petrochemical facilities.
KSC-I50A50 is a digital surge counter with a 3-digit display, designed to activate when a surge current of 50 A or more is detected. It can handle and record surges up to 50 kA (8/20 μs) and allows for event history review. The unit is designed and tested in accordance with IEC/EN 62561-6 standards. This surge counter is installed inside electrical panels alongside Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) to monitor and count induced surges entering the internal power system. It serves as reliable documentation for insurance claims and assists in effective diagnostics of electrical system issues within buildings.
KSC-KS2 is an analog surge counter featuring a 2-digit mechanical display. It activates when a lightning surge of 1 kA (8/20 μs) or more passes through and can handle surges up to 100 kA (8/20 μs). The device is designed and tested according to IEC/EN 62561-6 standards. It is designed for installation inside electrical panels alongside Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) to detect and count transient overvoltages entering the electrical system. KSC-KS2 is ideal for supporting insurance documentation and effectively troubleshooting power system issues within buildings and industrial facilities.
