Networking

Establishing an academic research and innovation network in collaboration with educational institutions.

Kumwell designs its innovation research processes based on the framework of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and enhances efficiency and effectiveness through the application of the Thailand Quality Awards (TQA) criteria. This approach supports the company's innovation development while fostering academic research networks with educational institutions and technological collaboration with partner organizations.

Academic collaboration with King Mongkuts Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) focuses on targeted, in-depth research leading to innovation. Kumwells research team, pursuing master's and doctoral degrees at KMITL, is involved in various advanced research topics such as:

  • Application of graphene to enhance electrical conductivity in grounding systems
  • Development of mathematical models for precise lightning strike location analysis
  • Use of fiber optics for intrusion detection and maintenance in railway systems
  • AI-powered lightning warning software systems
  • Detection of small metallic and non-metallic components for applications in the food industry
  • Fault location detection in grounding systems
  • Non-contact vital signs monitoring for multiple individuals using millimeter-wave radar

Establishment of the Lightning Research Center (LRC) and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Excellent Center (EMC Excellent Center, EMCEC) aims to drive Kumwells mission of advancing research and innovation toward commercialization. These centers also serve as collaborative testing and research hubs with both domestic and international networks, addressing challenges related to lightning disasters and electromagnetic fields across all sectors.

In collaboration with the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) and the Department of Labour Safety, Ministry of Labour, Kumwell builds networks and partnerships in lightning protection systems and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), engaging both public and private sectors domestically and internationally. This initiative aims to drive and elevate safety standards across all industrial sectors.

MOU

Collaborating to promote safety with stakeholders across all sectors through MOUs aimed at driving innovation. Partners include organizations such as the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), and the Naval Research and Development Office (NRDO), among others. These efforts aim to concretely advance innovations toward commercialization.

In collaboration with the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Kumwell has advanced safety innovations in hygiene and the food industry. This includes the commercialization of hypochlorous acid disinfectant solutions.

Kumwell strongly believes that the power of innovation and research will be a key driving force in positioning the company as a national leader, paving the way for full-scale competition in the global market. Our ultimate goal is to become one of the worlds leading brands in lightning protection systems and safety innovation.
